Metropolitan Council to vote on $350M transportation plan Wednesday afternoon
Wednesday, the Metro Council is scheduled to vote on a plan that would allocate $350 million to new transportation projects in the Twin Cities.
The Investment in Infrastructure and Jobs Act passed by Congress over the summer increased funding for the projects by 50%.
The projects include items such as upgrading traffic management technology, repairing and replacing bridges, and creating multi-use trails and bike lanes.
Wednesday’s meeting starts at 4 p.m.
