Brooklyn Park Police: Woman killed in possible hit-and-run, public’s help sought in identifying school bus possibly involved

Police are investigating a death in Brooklyn Park after a body was found on a street Monday morning.

Brooklyn Park Police said officers were called to a spot near the intersection of Humboldt Avenue and Meadowwood Drive at about 6:49 a.m.

Responding officers found a woman who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Humboldt Avenue was closed for some time as authorities investigated.

Police said they don’t believe the original vehicle that hit the woman stopped at the scene.

Police are also asking for the public’s help in identifying a school bus that was involved in the incident.
