Boho Style is a hot trend in home décor. Danielle Rode, owner of Upsy-Daisy in White Bear Lake, shows us ways to integrate boho-style into your fall decorating.
Upsy Daisy is hosting an outdoor pop up market on Saturday, September 10th. There will be 30 local artists, live music, and food trucks – and it’s free to attend!
Projects:
Boho Wall Hanging
Material:
- Chunky Yarn (we chose 2 colors)
- Wood Dowel
- Wood beads
- Scissors
- Tape
Instructions:
- Cut all yarn pieces in the same length (we cut ours 60″ each)
- Tie each piece of yarn to the dowel using a lark’s head knot as follows:
- Fold your piece of yarn in half.
- Place the loop created under the dowel.
- Fish the ends of the yarn through the loop.
- Pull tight.
- Alternate each color as you continue to tie each piece of yarn to the dowel.
- Use tape to tightly tape the ends of the yarn (like the tip of a shoelace) and thread the yarn ends through the wood beads.
- Slide the wood beads in a pattern you like.
Boho Fall Florals
Materials:
- Dried Palm Leaves
- Acrylic Paint
- Small paint brush
- Parchment paper
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix equal parts water and acrylic paint.
- Use a paint brush to paint the palm leaf with the paint and water mixture (both sides).
- Set on parchment paper to dry.
- Use your painted palm leaf along with other dried florals as a fall floral arrangement.
Boho Plate Chargers
Materials:
- 12” Cardboard Cake Plates
- Fringed Trim (we used a looped trim we found at the fabric store)

- Cut the end of the sisal rope and glue the end down.
