Brule Banana Split Pancakes

Brian Ingram, chef & owner of Hope Breakfast Bar, knows how to take pancakes to the next level.

Pancake Batter
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 large egg

Mix well and set aside

When ready to make your pancakes, pour 1/4 – 1/3 cup scoops of batter onto a griddle or pan on medium high.

When they start to bubble and the bottom begins to brown, flip them!

*Use cookie cutters to make fun shapes!

Caramelized Bananas

1 banana cut in half
3 TBSP brown sugar

Oven 400 degrees

Place sugar on top of banana

Cook on the top shelf of oven for 10 minutes

Syrups:

Strawberry
1 cup strawberries
1/2 cup maple syrup
Blend well

Ganache
1 cup Chocolate Fudge
1/2 cup Maple Syrup
Blend well

Pineapple Syrup
1 cup fresh or canned pineapple drained
1/2 maple syrup
Blend well
