This week is pork week, and we have teamed up with the Pork Board to bring you recipes using pork. Director of animal welfare at Pipestone Vet Clinic, Dr. Cara Haden, is joining us today to show us her recipe for “Jar”- Cuterie!

Try it out in your kitchen:

Ingredients

  • Meat: Italian dry salami, coppa (capicola) , and prosciutto
  • Fruits: Strawberries, pineapple, dried apricots
  • Cheese: Mozzarella pears, asiago, parmesan, gouda, and brie
  • Other: Nuts or trail mix, cherry tomatoes, naan dippers, pretzel braids, toasted cracker chips, maple bacon onion jam

For Assembly

  • Wide mouth ball jars
  • Looped bamboo picks
  • Wooden grilling skewers

Instructions

  • Prepare cheeses into cubes, crumbles, triangular and rectangular slices
  • Wash berries and slice pineapple into triangles leaving the outer skin
  • Start with a clean, dry wide mouth ball jar
  • Add crackers and pretzel braids along the sides and fill the middle with trail mix
  • Start adding folded meats, cubed cheese, strawberries, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella pears to bamboo sticks and skewers
  • Place the skewers into the trail mix
  • Serve with naan dippers, maple bacon jam, and toasted cracker chips
