Carjacking at gunpoint reported on U of M campus Saturday night

A carjacking was reported on the University of Minnesota campus shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, according to an emergency alert sent by the university.

The alert message said that carjacking happened near the intersection of 25th Avenue and Delaware Street at 9:04 p.m.

The suspects, who were seen driving a stolen maroon Dodge Caravan, threatened the victim with a gun and took their silver BMW X3, according to the alert.

The license plate of the BMW is reported as MN/FAB915. The license plate of the Dodge Caravan is reported as MN/BZM997. Anyone who sees these vehicles is being asked to call the police.

There was no report of any injuries.
