Much of Twin Cities foliage on its way to peak colors
As October soars by, the foliage is quickly changing colors in Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR)’s Fall Color Finder, much of the foliage in the Twin Cities is between 50-75% to the way to peak colors. On the outskirts of the Twin Cities, some foliage is 75-100% of the way to peak colors. Meanwhile, much of the foliage in northern Minnesota has already peaked.
At this time last year, much of the Twin Cities was 75-100% of the way to peak colors, with eastern counties 50-75% of the way to peak colors.
