Man seriously injured during Wednesday’s explosion in Dakota County
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office has released new details about an explosion earlier this week.
Authorities say a man, identified as 64-year-old Perry Coyle, was seriously injured during an explosion in Ravenna Township Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office said the explosion happened in an unattached garage located on the 19000 block of Rhoda Avenue.
Currently, they don’t have any other details, and the incident is still being investigated.
As previously reported, deputies were called to the area just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, and while responding, Coyle and another adult were intercepted at the Hastings Civic Arena.
Coyle was flown to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Earlier this week, a neighbor in the area told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS a loud boom shook the area, and then she saw a woman driving quickly out of the driveway to get her husband to the hospital.
His current condition is unknown.
