Man dead after shooting in Minneapolis Thursday afternoon
A man is dead after a shooting in north Minneapolis Thursday afternoon.
Officers said they responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of 30th Avenue just before 1:30 p.m.
Police then found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. A news release states that neighbors and officers tried to save his life, but the man later died at the hospital.
Investigators believe the shooting was the result of an argument between the victim and another man he knew.
This is the 70th death being investigated as a homicide in Minneapolis. There have been no arrests.
