Bicyclist and vehicle crash in Brooklyn Park

A bicyclist and a vehicle collided Wednesday morning at the intersection of 101^st Ave N and Regent Ave N in Brooklyn Park, police said.

According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, the crash occurred around 11 a.m., and the bicyclist sustained significant injuries and was brought to a nearby hospital. The bicyclist’s current condition is unknown.

Police said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating in the investigation and that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The intersection was closed for several hours while officials investigated the collision. Law enforcement officials say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
