Gophers women’s hockey preps for season opener against Bemidji State

After two exhibition victories, the Minnesota women’s hockey team is set to open their season at home against Bemidji State on Friday.
The Gophers went (29-9-1) last season and lost in the the NCAA Tournament, 2-1 to Minnesota-Duluth. This season the Gophers welcome back eight seniors including the reigning Patty Kazmaier award winner Taylor Heise.

Puck drop against the Gophers and Bemidji State Friday night is set for 6 p.m. at Ridder Arena and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
