Overnight Owatonna house fire displaces 2; no injuries reported
The cause of an overnight fire in Owatonna is under investigation.
According to the Owatonna Fire Department, crews were called to a home on the 2100 block of Seventh Avenue Northeast just after 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from a back door and roof vents.
Fire officials say both people who were inside the home had safely evacuated by the time they arrived.
According to Owatonna Fire Chief Ed Hoffman, both of the occupants have been displaced and the Red Cross is helping them.
No firefighters were injured while battling the flames.
Crews were at the scene for about an hour.
