Teen taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle in front of Tartan High School

A 14-year-old girl was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck her Wednesday afternoon in front of Tartan High School in Oakdale.

The Oakdale Police Department said they received the call at about 2:48 p.m. Police responded to the incident at Greenway Avenue North right in front of the high school.

A statement from the school principal said that the girl is a 9th grade Tartan student who was awake and alert following the incident.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
