Teen who died in weekend Cass County crash identified

The teen victim of a single-vehicle crash Sunday in Cass County has now been identified.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol incident report, the boy was identified Monday morning as 17-year-old Ronald James Day of Remer.

The Department of Public Safety says alcohol was involved in the crash, and Day was not wearing a seatbelt. It also stated the vehicle’s airbag didn’t deploy.

As previously reported, Day was one of at least two Minnesota teens who died in crashes over the weekend.

No further information is expected to be released.
