The Concordia-St. Paul football team dropped its opener last week vs. Augustana, 28-14. Even with the 0-1 start, there’s optimism on campus. This after a 1-10 record last year.
We attended a recent Golden Bears practice and spoke with head coach Shannon Currier, as well as players RB Jaylin Richardson and DB Rhett Sheehan.

Currier is in his 11th season as Concordia-St. Paul coach, sixth since returning in 2016.
The Golden Bears will look to get into the win column on the road this weekend as they travel to Southwest Minnesota State (0-1).
Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Sept. 10 in Marshall.
