Organization searching for Minnesotan sponsors for Ukrainian families

Wednesday marks six months since the start of the war in Ukraine. Alight, a global humanitarian organization, is getting ready to welcome Ukrainian families fleeing the war to Minnesota.

The organization launched a new campaign to find sponsors. Alight says they are looking for 100 sponsors to take Ukrainian families under their wing when they move here.

“We’re looking for Minnesotans to help them find a safe place to land,” Annie Nolte-Henning with Alight said. “Helping them navigate everything from our transportation system, to find a job, to enrolling kids in school and really to be able to see what it means to build a life here.”
