Minneapolis Parks and Recreation pools, lifeguard hours reduced

Some Minneapolis waterparks, pools and beaches have reduced hours or reduced lifeguard services starting Monday.

Hours for the Jim Lupient Water Park, North Commons Water Park, and Webber Natural Swimming Pool will now be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for the duration of the swimming season.

Lifeguard hours are reduced at Lake Nokomis Main Beach and Wirth Lake Beach. A lifeguard will be on-duty from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation swim season ends on Labor Day, Sept. 5.
