Public to weigh in on upcoming contract between Minneapolis, police union
Minneapolis community members can weigh in on a new three-year contract with the union that represents Minneapolis police during a meeting Monday night.
Earlier this year, Mayor Jacob Frey formed a working group to develop priorities for the contract.
Monday’s listening session at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park Recreation Center on Nicollet Avenue near West 41st Street is scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m.
After Monday’s session, there will be one more public listening session, which is scheduled for next Tuesday.
The current contract between the City of Minneapolis and the union expires at the end of 2022.
