Shooting at St. Paul Saloon leaves 20-year-old man dead, woman injured

The St. Paul Police Department is investigating deadly shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured Tuesday night.

According to police, officers were called to the St. Paul Saloon on the 1000 block of Old Hudson Road on a report of a shooting just after 8 p.m. Two people who had suffered gunshot wounds, a man and a woman, were found at the scene and taken to Regions Hospital.

The man later died, and the woman is stable, police said.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 20-year-old Raymond Renteria Hobbs. The medical examiner’s office is expected to conduct an autopsy to determine the man’s exact cause of death at a later time.

No arrests have been made. The police department’s homicide unit is seeking any potential witnesses and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 651-266-5650.

This is the seventh homicide in St. Paul in 2021.
