Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by vehicle in Minneapolis

Police say a pedestrian is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle in Minneapolis.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, police were called just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on the report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the area of Franklin and Cedar avenues.

When police arrived, they found a man in the road.

The man was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition, according to police.

Police identified the driver who later admitted to being involved in the crash. The man was arrested for probable cause criminal vehicular operation.
