Over 200 people to be permanently laid off by Aramark in Maplewood and Cottage Grove

Over 200 people will be permanently laid off by Aramark Services Inc. in Maplewood and Cottage Grove.
According to a notice sent to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Aramark will be permanently laying off 212 employees from facilities located at 3M in Maplewood and Cottage Grove.
The layoffs are due to the cessation of facility and food services at 3M. The layoffs will occur on April 30.
The notice states that it is expected that Aramark employees at both facilities are expected to be allowed to apply for open positions offered by 3M’s new facility and services provider.
