Zumbrota 18-year-old killed in collision with semi

An 18-year-old died Wednesday morning after a collision with a semi-truck in southeastern Minnesota.

A Minnesota State Patrol crash report states the Zumbrota woman was driving a 2007 Saturn Vue southbound on Goodhue County Road 1 Boulevard when it collided with a westbound semi at the intersection of Highway 60 just before 8:50 a.m.

The driver of the semi wasn’t injured but the 18-year-old was pronounced dead. She was later identified as Rachel Lynn Nesseth.

The crash remains under investigation.
