Q&A: Alexandria’s Kristen Hoskins on committing to Gophers

Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck offered Alexandria junior wide receiver Kristen Hoskins a full scholarship offer in a FaceTime call late last week, and Hoskins did not hesitate in giving his verbal commitment to join the Gophers’ 2022 recruiting class. He also had offers from Iowa St. and North Dakota St.

At 5-foot-10, Hoskins uses dynamic speed to beat defensive backs. Hoskins had 41 catches for 628 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games as a junior. He was recently timed at 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Hoskins is the second player to commit to the 2022 recruiting class. He’s also a solid basketball player.
