Friends, family and local residents gathered at a Stillwater golf course Wednesday evening to honor the life of the teen who was killed Saturday on a western Wisconsin river.
The vigil remembered the life lived by 17-year-old Isaac Schuman of Stillwater after he was stabbed and killed by a man who wounded others on Saturday. The attack happened on the Apple River in Somerset, Wisconsin.

Some attendees wore T-shirts that read “Isaac Strong.” The Glen Oak Country Club was chosen to host the gathering because of Isaac’s love of golf.
Isaac’s older brother, Jake Schuman, fought through tears as he sent a message to Isaac.
“Isaac, you’re my best friend forever,” Jake Schuman said. “I love you more than you know. I’ll never let your name and energy leave this Earth. Just don’t worry about me, Isaac.”
The suspect in the killing, Nicolae Mui, faces multiple charges, including first-degree intentional homicide. He claims he was acting in self-defense.
