1 dies in hospital after late night Minneapolis shooting
One man is dead after a shooting late Friday night, the Minneapolis Police Department says.
Officers went to the 4100 block of Snelling Avenue for a report of a shooting just after 11 p.m.
Police say they arrived to find a man believed to be in his late teens with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Responders made life-saving efforts until the man was taken to Hennepin Healthcare, where police say he died from his injuries.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and official cause of death.
Minneapolis police forensic and homicide departments have started investigating.
At this time, police have not given any information about possible suspects or events leading up to the death.
