Walz classifies grocery store workers as emergency personnel, allowing them free child care

In an executive order, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz classified "food distribution workers" as essential tier 2 emergency workers.
The executive order allows those workers to access free child care for children under the age of 12 during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Earlier this week, Walz closed schools in the state to curb the spread of the virus.
Also included in the executive order are healthcare providers, emergency medical service providers, long-term and post-acute care workers, law enforcement personnel and others.
