Twins move LHP Thielbar to 15-day IL; RHP Cano moves back up from Saints

The Minnesota Twins have placed Caleb Thielbar on the 15-day Injured List retroactive to July 19, the team said Saturday.

The left-handed relief pitcher is recovering from a left hamstring strain.

Thielbar has led the Twins with 40 relief appearances this season, collecting 47 strikeouts for a 4.84 ERA.

The team says right-handed pitcher Yennier Cano will move up from the St. Paul Saints to fill their 26-man roster.

This will be Cano’s third stint with the Twins this year.
