Aurora coach Nicole Lukic named USL W League Coach of the Year

Minnesota Aurora FC is set to play Saturday for the championship but it already received good news on Tuesday.

Aurora Head Coach Nicole Lukic was named USL W Coach of the Year after leading the club to an undefeated regular season and a spot in the title game.

Under Lukic, Aurora has used a well-balanced attack to tally 35 goals by 13 different goal-scorers while allowing only eight goals against. Aurora also won 11 consecutive matches this season and recorded five shutouts en route to winning the Heartland Division and cruising through the playoffs to the championship game.

Aurora will play Tormenta FC Saturday night at TCO Stadium in Eagan.
