Hwy 36 weekend closure to divert traffic in the east metro

All westbound lanes of Highway 36 between Interstate 694 in Pine Springs to Highway 61 in Maplewood will close starting Friday at 9 p.m. through Monday at 5 a.m. 

For an alternate route, go west on I-694 and then south on I-35E.

The following ramps will also close from Friday at 9 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.:

• Highway 36 westbound exit ramp to I-694 southbound
• I-694 southbound exit ramp to Hwy 36 westbound
• I-694 northbound exit ramp to Hwy 36 westbound

Follow the posted detour signs for the ramp closures.

Eastbound lanes on Highway 36 will also see some closures.

Highway 36 eastbound will go down to one lane from English Street near Maplewood to McKnight Road in North St. Paul from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Highway 36 eastbound will also go down to one lane from Edgerton Street to Highway 61 in Little Canada from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. The Highway 36 westbound exit ramp to Edgerton Street will also close during that time.
