Entering his 4th year with the Vikings, running back Alexander Mattison is in town early preparing for training camp. Veterans report on July 26th.
2021 stats: 16 games, 4 starts, 166 touches, 719 total yards, 3.7 yards per cary, 4 TDs
Mattison has been called upon multiple times to be the lead back when Dalvin Cook has been out with an injury. He has five games with at least 20 touches in the last two years.
We caught up with Mattison at a workout that also featured Vikings Adam Thielen, Nate Stanley, Dan Chisena, Ben Ellefson, and Zach Davidson.

Mattison is entering the final year of his contract. The first day for practice in pads at training camp is Aug. 1.
