South metro construction project begins Tuesday

Drivers in the south metro area may need to find an alternate route for the next few weeks.
As of 5 a.m. Tuesday, southbound Highway 77 is shut down between the crosstown and Highway 494 in Bloomington until July 26.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says crews are resurfacing the highway.
A detour will take drivers south along I-35W to eastbound 494 to get around the project.
