Man, baby safe following overnight Minneapolis house fire

Two people are safe after a house fire in Minneapolis during the overnight hours.

The Minneapolis Fire Department was called to a home on the 2500 block of Grand Avenue South just after 3 a.m. Friday.

Fire was found on the second floor of the home, and crews were able to quickly put it out.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer learned a man and a baby were able to safely escape the home.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and the Red Cross wasn’t needed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
