Construction to close portion of Hwy 36 starting Friday night

Drivers in the north and east Twin Cities metro area will need to be aware of a weekend closure of Highway 36.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), eastbound Minnesota Highway 36 will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Friday, June 24.
The closure will last until about 5 a.m. Monday, June 27.
MnDOT says the roadway will be closed between U.S. 61 in the Maplewood and Little Canada area to I-694 in Pine Springs.
