New homes for veterans to be unveiled in Minneapolis Tuesday
Veterans experiencing homelessness will receive the keys to a better future Tuesday as the ribbon is cut to two new homes and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in Minneapolis.
These are the sixth and seventh homes that have been built for the Housing for Heroes project, led by the Housing First Minnesota Foundation and build partner Lennar Minnesota.

Right after the ribbon cutting, Housing First will break ground for its next build, which will be four more homes and ADUs.
These homes will be given to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), which provides transitional services to veterans.
Housing First says veterans living in the units will receive help from MACV to overcome housing, employment and legal barriers.
Wednesday’s events begin at 11 p.m. at 3530 Humboldt Ave. N. in Minneapolis.
