Child hospitalized following drowning report at Alexandria hotel
Police say a child is recovering after being pulled from a pool in Alexandria this weekend.
According to police, officers were called to the Holiday Inn in Alexandria at around 6:45 p.m. Saturday for a report of a 6-year-old child drowning in a pool.
When they arrived, they found the child was already out of the pool and CPR had been started.
The child was taken to an area hospital and was in critical condition at the time.
As of Monday morning, police have not said if the child’s condition had improved.
An investigation is underway.
