Eagle Lake man killed in Blue Earth County motorcycle crash

Authorities say one man is dead following a motorcycle crash late Wednesday night in Blue Earth County.

According to the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to 211th Street between 598th and 602th avenues at about 9:20 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive motorcycle rider.

When they arrived, they tried to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was identified as 43-year-old Troy Tabor, of Eagle Lake.

Authorities say they are still investigating the crash, however, they say it appears Tabor may have lost control on the gravel road and was thrown from the bike.

The sheriff’s office reports he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time and didn’t have a valid license or a motorcycle endorsement.
