Man found dead at St. Paul senior living apartment identified

A man found dead at a senior living apartment in St. Paul’s Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood Friday has now been identified.
Monday, the St. Paul Police Department identified the man as 59-year-old Leonardo Bedell, of St. Paul.
Police said they found Bedell after doing a welfare check at the apartment building along East Seventh Street.
They said Bedell had been shot, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a woman arrested in connection with the incident remains in custody, and is being held on suspicion of murder.
According to the department, the incident marked the city’s 18th homicide of the year.
