Former St. Croix Lutheran high school and University of Denver star Ade Murkey is busy training in Atlanta, awaiting his next pro opportunity. He’s also gearing up to host his first basketball camp. It’ll run July 18-20 on his high school’s campus in West St. Paul.
Murkey signed a 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings in January, fulfilling a dream of making it to the NBA. Now, he wants to get back there.
We caught up with Murkey, via Zoom, to hear about his journey and about his camp.

Undrafted out of Denver in 2020, Murkey signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Timberwolves December 2020, but was waived before the season started and spent the year in the G League with Iowa. He signed with the Kings last October and was waived two days later. He then joined their G-League affiliate in Stockton, California.
Playing well for Stockton earned him the 10-day call-up with the Kings.
Murkey’s camp this summer is for all ages, girls and boys. For more information, click here.
