Man shot in Becker County

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office has released initial details about a shooting that occurred Friday night.

Authorities say that a 44-year-old man was shot in Pine Point, about 26 miles northeast of Detroit Lakes.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital before being airlifted to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

There is no information on what prompted the shooting, or the condition of the victim.

The Sheriff’s office says that this is believed to be an isolated incident and an investigation is ongoing.
