Minnesota makes more free, at-home COVID tests available

Minnesotans who want more at-home rapid COVID-19 tests can now order more through the state’s online program.
Thursday, Gov. Tim Walz’s office announced that Minnesotans can now order four more free tests per household. The program initially offered four free tests back in March. Minnesotans who didn’t order their free tests in the earlier round can get up to eight tests now.
“Minnesotans have more COVID-19 testing options than ever, and our online ordering program is one of the ways we are making it easy and convenient to access those tests,” Walz said in a statement. “Minnesotans should continue to test if they have been exposed to the virus or have symptoms of COVID-19.”
Nearly 122,000 Minnesotans have ordered their tests since the ordering program launched.
Additionally, Minnesotans can order free at-home tests from the federal government.
