St. Cloud man dead, homicide investigation opened

Police say a man who was found with a gunshot wound to the head Tuesday night in a St. Cloud home has died.

According to police, officers were called to the 1200 block of 10th Avenue S. at about 7:45 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

Police, firefighters, and paramedics attempted life-saving efforts on the victim before he was taken to a St. Cloud Hospital, where he later died.

The man’s name and age haven’t been released as of this time.

Police say based on the initial investigation, they believe the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle “immediately after the shooting and just prior to the arrival of police”.

St. Cloud officials do not think that this is a random incident.

About two hours after the shooting, police found the suspect vehicle unoccupied in eastern St. Cloud.
