Public invited to meeting regarding Anoka railroad crossing design
Community members are asked to voice their opinion regarding the design of a railroad crossing in Anoka during a meeting Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), the public will be able to give input on alignment and intersection alternatives.
The project involves the BNSF Railroad Crossing and Highway 47 in Anoka.
The MnDOT project manager says following a safety issue study in 2016, it was recommended the highway and railroad crossing be separated by building a bridge over the tracks.
Wednesday’s meeting will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Anoka-Hennepin Educational Service Center, located at 2727 Ferry St. in Anoka.
