Man found stabbed to death in Minneapolis apartment Sunday; no arrests made

A suspicious death at a Minneapolis apartment is now being investigated as a homicide, police say.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a report of a dead body around 4:40 p.m. Sunday in an apartment on the 500 block of Ridgewood Avenue. Police say the victim’s death did not appear to be fresh.

On Monday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as 52-year-old Eric Andre Lamont David of Minneapolis. According to the autopsy report, he died from “multiple sharp force injuries,” and his manner of death was ruled a homicide.

This is the 36th homicide in Minneapolis this year, according to police records.

No arrests have been made.
