1 killed in North Minneapolis shooting

Authorities say a man was killed following a shooting that was sparked by a "likely robbery" in North Minneapolis. 

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers were called just before 7 p.m. to a home on the 1400 block of 17th Avenue North on the report of a shooting. 

When officers arrived, they found a man inside the home who was pronounced dead. Police believe the suspect fled on foot. 

According to police, it is believed the victim and the suspect were familiar with each other. 

The identity of the victim will be released by the medical examiner.
