The annual Fraser Festival for Autism was held at the MOA on Saturday. This year the event was fully in-person after last year’s event was converted to a drive-through style due to the pandemic.
Event officials said they were expecting about 600 people to attend the free event. There was a variety of tents offering everything from music to slime-making and therapy animals.

There was also a sensory support team who offered support to families if there was any sensory overload.
“So we have different sensory tools available like noise-canceling headphones, we have sensory tents where people can go and take a break if they need to just remove themselves from the environment,” said Gina Brady with the sensory team, “and then we also prepare people ahead of time by giving them the information of when they come to the event.”
The event lasted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the North Lot of MOA.
