Attempted robbery reported near U of M campus

University of Minnesota officials released an alert warning of an attempted robbery near campus Monday evening.

According to the alert, the attempted robbery occurred at about 5 p.m. Monday near 25th and Riverside avenues.

Officials said two male suspects, between the ages of 14 and 18, were involved in the incident. Authorities said one suspect was wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt and the other was wearing a yellow hooded-sweatshirt.

Minneapolis police are investigating the incident, university officials stated in the alert.
