Police: Road rage shooting originated with argument near St. Cloud; suspect turns self in
A suspect has surrendered in connection with a deadly road rage shooting Sunday in Maple Grove that police say was fueled by an argument that took place more than 40 miles away.
William Floyd Haire, 61, of Buffalo was shot in his vehicle by another driver just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 30 and Garland Lane North, according to Maple Grove police. He was found in his vehicle on the side of an on-ramp onto Interstate 94 and died after he was taken to the hospital.

Police say tensions between the drivers stemmed from an altercation near St. Cloud and the victim and the suspect had “interactions” along the way to Maple Grove.
The 30-year-old suspect turned himself in Monday night and is now being held at the Hennepin County Jail. He has not been formally charged.
Police continue to investigate the shooting.
