Lowry Tunnel to temporarily close overnight for cleaning

Heads up Minneapolis drivers!

The Lowry Tunnel will be closed temporarily in both directions Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning so crews can clean the inside of the tunnel.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), the tunnel will be closed in both directions for cleaning, as well as other maintenance.

The closure on I-94 will happen between 394 and Lyndale Avenue starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday and last until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
