Medics who encountered Christopherson at the scene described him as “manic.”
A criminal complaint filed at the time stated Christopherson’s brother told police Christopherson had a schizophrenia diagnosis and had been living with his father. The brother mentioned he thought Christopherson had been taking medication corresponding with his diagnosis.
According to the court update, Christopherson faces an evaluation for mental illness or cognitive impairment. His next hearing date is June 9 and a trial is currently set to start on Oct. 24.
