Twins reassign Kyle Garlick from Saints, designate Rodríguez for release
The Minnesota Twins pulled up outfielder Kyle Garlick from the St. Paul Saints Friday after a four-game stint with the St. Paul Saints, the team’s Triple-A affiliate, according to Twins officials.
Garlick was reassigned to St. Paul from Twins spring training on April 7 and went on to hit one triple and a home run, as well as four RBIs in 13 at-bats for the Saints. He also had a .412 on-base percentage.
Team officials say the 30-year-old played 36 games for the Twins last season and will replace right-handed pitcher Dereck Rodríguez, who appeared in relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday.
